October 27th, 2008Doctor Burt’s ResQ

For skin irritations, itches, insect bites, cuts, etc…, here’s my first aid answer.

Burt’s Bees Res-Q Ointment. A part of Burt’s Bees Outdoor products, it is formulated with Vitamin E, comfrey and rosemary leaf extracts, olive, sweet almond and germ wheat oils and is 95.7% natural (as indicated on its label). It is definitely soothing and it mildly smells like refreshing herbs (that I so like). It’s a little expensive compared to local balms but I think it’s worth its price.

BTW, I use this on my son, too.

October 23rd, 2008I love Ipanema

Remember that song Girl from Ipanema? Love it. But this post is not about it. Nor is this about the place -because sadly, I haven’t been there. But I wish, I wish someday, one day…

Anyway, lookie, lookie what I have here.

Right! It’s Ipanema - the flipflops. So, so so heart them. Not too stylish and costs more compared with Havaianas but I think they are the best slippers in the world. Softest, I must add (it feels like you’re stepping on nothing). I’m just impressed with their “shock system.” They are actually the best slippers I’ve got! So soft and  comfortable  are they that they’re the most perfect buddies during long walks.
