January 30th, 2010Simple Blessing

Isn’t it wonderful to have people you can count on in times of need? I always appreciate my family for being there all the time for me -and my son. I trust them so much they way you can trust good sam roadside assistance.

And then I am also thankful that there are people who always lend a helping to those in need,  even if to strangers. It’s real blessing to mankind. Now, I pray that the world will always have more of these people. :-)

January 20th, 2010McDo Forever

After a long long time of abstinenece (what a term!)  from eating burgers, I suddenly had a craving for a cheezy cheeseburger this afternoon. And not just any cheeseburger but what I had in mind (and had wanted to get a mouthful of) is the Cheeseburger from good old McDonald’s!

So on the way home, I made a detour to a McDo branch to pick up one and boy did I just make my tummy happy. I cannot believe how I was able to steer clear away from burgers but I definitely, for the record, love McDo cheeseburgers. Now, how much calories can I get from one? Or shall I start popping weight loss pills? now? :-)

January 18th, 2010Post-it

Don’t you just love Post-it notes? I’m looking at one right now and I have to thank the High Heavens for that someone who is smart enough to have thought of making a sticky note for people who are a little OCD with lists. It absolutely makes my life easier (being  forgetful and all).

Oh by the way have you read the top rated diet pills these days? Me, nah-ah. Got to educate myself in a sec. :-)

January 17th, 2010Photofunia

Want to tweak your photo in a flash? Go visit photofunia.com. It’s an online site where you can get easy and fun edits with your photo, and quickly at that.  You simply upload a photo, choose the treatment or style you want and voila!

I have yet to try other sites that offer the same fun stuff so I cannot make comparison but I’m quite satisfied with the instant post-processing I can get from Photfunia.

That’s my short review for now, off to read some anti aging product reviews.

January 16th, 2010French Truffles

My mother brought home a box of chocolates called French Truffles after attending her high school reunion. The chocolate was a pasalubong from one of her high school friends, she said.

And we- my son and I - feasted on it! It is surprisingly good. Actually, I can say that it is one of the best chocolates I’ve ever tasted. I swear. So so yummy, I promise. Delectable, really. It literally melts in your mouth. It has a smooth rich chocolate flavor but it is not sooo sweet. And not too bitter either. It has a perfect chocolatey balance that absolutely makes me reach  for more.  On its box, it says there are no preservatives added so it’s an added point.

It’s perfect for to go with some wine too. So while celebrating for your most successful home based business or whatever is the occasion, why not include a French Truffle? I’m sure your guests  will enjoy it.

P.S. Now I’m constantly in the lookout for  a local store that sells them. Hope I get to find one soon.

January 15th, 2010Positive Discipline

Today, after I’ve read some appetite suppressant reviews, I went to check some parenting articles about positive discipline online.

And boy I found a mine!  If ound a lot of good reads. And one of these is Jane Nelsen’s blog, Positive Discipline with Dr. Jane Nelsen. I love some of the topics she tackled in her blog. I’ve actually seen some answers to the questions I have. I also saw that she has published plenty of books already and as I type this, I’m making a mental note that when I get the time, I’ll check if some copies are available in our local bookstore.

Oh btw, here’s the link to Jane Nelsen’s blog: http://blog.positivediscipline.com/.

January 14th, 2010Wazzup?

Mmmm.. Everyone’s unexpectedly quiet these days. I wonder what everyone’s up to.

Are they cooking up something wonderful for everyone? Is something exciting coming up?

I wonder, I wonder, I wonder as I work, work, work my butt off here.

Ahh, preparing for a wedding? I know of someone who just had a wonderful wedding recently. Anyone in the queue?

I haven’t heard of baby announcements yet.

And March is still a couple of months away so graduation announcements are yet to be heard then.

So what’s up in your corner of the world? Let’s exchange announcements :-) okay?

January 13th, 2010Crossing my fingers

I know I have so much to be thankful for in this life. But sometimes, I wish I were wealthy enough to buy something without thinking twice about the price. I wish I could just buy something I need with a flick of my finger. I wish. Well, don’t you just feel that way sometimes? (Please tell me so I won’t feel too rotten.)

But reality is reality, gotta accept that. And so here I am comparing car prices and hoping that I’d find an affordable car in mint condition.

Wish me luck.

January 8th, 2010All For Glass

I just bought a set of Visions cookware, which we have already started using at home, and it seems like they are really made of high quality materials just like what the reviews of the product which I’ve read online said.

I still couldn’t make a conclusion though since I’ve just used the product in barely a month. But initially I can say I’m quite satisfied with the pots. I love cooking in transparent pots! Also, the set I got comes with  plastic covers for the pots aside from their Pyrex lids so I can safely store some food and put them in the fridge.

So glass, check. Now I’ll see some stainless steel drums and see what I can do with them. ;-)

I am currently in the road of trying to desperately save the last few drops of my Bulgari Crystalline perfume. Thanks to my four-year old son who must have thought the bottle is an air freshener that’s why when I woke of this morning, I found him spraying it all around our room. :-)

This has actually happened twice already and among the colognes, perfumes I have, he perfectly chose my Crystalline at both times!
