Oh that’s me. On the second thought, a better and apt term would be “curious penguin,” if there’s such a term. Okay, I don’t think I need to elaborate on that. Don’t let me, p-l-e-a-s-e. Lol.
Anyway, I brought this subject up because I met a new term online and that is Irvingia Gabonensis. Have you ever read or heard of that before? I definitely have not. *vigorously shaking head* Is that a medicine? A disease? For all I know, it could be a name of a person –although it would be a weird name. What could it really be. So there, it got my attention.
And because I’m curious, I looked it up and read about it. Ha, now I know! And I’m adding that to stock knowledge. *smiles* Anyway, I don’t want to spoil the fun (heheh), so if you’re curious like me, click the emboldened term above and find out what it is.
There’s a new breadshop in town, the Missy BonBon Breadshop. So prepare your best weight loss pill because I’m sure you’ll be needing one after seeing the tempting goodies they sell.
It has recently opened and foodie as we are, we were so excited to try their products. My sister got her chance to drop by the newly-opened outlet during one of her free days and she brought home some Melon Gelato and a tray of bread with grated cheese toppings.
Though I’m a bit disappointed with the bread (with cheese toppings) as it’s not as soft and tasty as I expected it to be, I could say that I love the Melon Gelato. Too bad I’m on a strict low-sugar diet these days as I would have helped myself into more servings. And goodluck to me as there are more goodies there that I can’t wait to try. *grins* Oh heavens what calorie overload it would be!

If it was hate at first try with the Ilog Maria Propolis Toothpowder, it was love at first use with the Ilog Maria Honeymilk Lotion. Oh well, how can I not love it when it effectively makes my skin soft and supple. Also, unlike the toothpowder, its scent is fresh and light.
The consistency of the lotion, however, is a bit watery but that’s no big deal for since it is really good in keeping my skin moisturized. And then because it is made of all natural ingredients which are as follows: royal jelly, honey, beeswax, propolis and natural flower, herb and seed oils, I don’t really worry much about getting in contact with unwanted chemicals.
Of all the bee products from IlogMaria that I’ve tried, I have to honestly admit that the Propolis Toothpowder is the one product that I don’t like –AT FIRST! Although its not too strong, I don’t like it’s smell when it reaches my mouth (which til now I couldn’t put a name to). Its light brown-grayish powder color is also far from appealing. Most of all, I hated its bitter, crushed-medicine taste. It really tasted horrible at first, that I toyed with the idea of just throwing it away or letting it join my son’s old toys in “our unused things” cabinet.
But reading it’s label, I decided to give it some more tries, which eventually made me realize one important thing: the Ilog Maria Propolis Toothpowder is making my teeth squeaky clean faster than any other toothpaste! No kidding, that was my experience. And I have used it everytime I brush my teeth since then. I have also slowly “forgotten” how horrible it tastes like; really, it’s just a matter of getting used to it (and most of us are so used to flavored toothpaste commercially available).
So after using this product for three months, I can earnestly say I’m satisfied with its performance. It’s natural, it’s effective, it quickly buffs my teeth and keeps my mouth healthy. It’s also economical and affordable. Really suits all my needs! Thank you IlogMaria (and expect me to order more bottles of the toothpowder!).

Have you visited a branch of KFC recently? Although I’m not sure if this is offered in all branches, I hope you have so you can see the latest offering from KFC. Or better yet, tasted the KFC Krushers, a shake-smoothie of sorts. This refreshing frozen delight is really so perfect this summer.
The flavors are as follows:
For Classic, there’s the Mocha Krunch, Cookies ‘n Cream and Rockin’ Road. I have tried the first two classic flavors and so far, the creamy, crunchy, chocolatey feel of Cookies ‘n Cream (with crushed choco cookies!) appeals more to me. Mocha Krunch (with coffee crunchies) is a bit bland for my taste. I have yet to taste Rockin’ Road though.
KFC Crushers
Now for the Smoothie Krushers, that contains fruity bits, here are the three variants: Strawberry Lush; Mango Mania; and Berry Banana. Again, I have yet to taste Berry Banana so between Strawberry Lush and Mango Mania, it’s the Strawberry Lush that I like. No, make it love. Yeah, so luuuurve it I can’t get enough of it (Oh my Dear Doctor would be upset if she hears this since she asked me to control my diet). BTW, the smoothie krushers are flavored and added with yoghurt — so you can already imagine their creamy taste.
Krushers 2
So how about dropping by the nearest KFC branch now? Me thinks, the refreshing and yummy Krushers are exactly what we all need to cool down after a minute under the summer sun.
Oh it’s already May 1. Time to start the countdown leading to the national election. I’m sure people who have invested much –blood, sweat, tear, money– in the election campaign are already antsy to get this over and done with .
Me, I’m also doing an internal countdown to my delivery date ( incidentally today is Labor Day in the country and so goes one of the reason of this countdown). Three more months of taking four different kinds of prenatal vitamins. Three more months of walking like an obese penguin, eating like a pig and heaving like never before! My tummy is bigger and heavier, and so there’s three more months of wearing a support belt.
When the time comes, I hope I have an easy and safe labor –and that our baby is happy, healthy, strong and smart.
Praying earnestly.
