February 4th, 2010Really Overload

Before I view some tv stands, lemme just say something. Nah, it won’t take long.

Really, you are not going to believe what I have been eating these days. Me too, I couldn’t believe myself. Peeking in our fridge today and looking at some goodies there make me want to laugh–aloud. *grins*

Anyway, I’ll not make this long.  I just want to say to ice cream and to coffee lovers out there that you should try Nestle’s Cafe Mocha ice cream.  The label says it contains 0% fat and that there’s no sugar added to it, although I read polydextrose and sucralose are among the ingredients. But anyway, it surely brings a different kind of delight. ;-)

BTW, and you thought I’m done with ice creams!  No, no, no. *vigorously shaking the head*  Shriek.

February 3rd, 2010Taste of Heaven

Indeed! In just one pint, you’ll get your taste of heaven. Trust me.

Hmmm. After this post, I guess you wouldn’t have expected another one of these ice cream posts. But then, here am I typing another one. Lol. But now it’s for Nestle Heaven Ice Cream -Belgian Bliss, a smooth and rich chocolate ice cream with Belgian choco bits. You’ve gotta love it. I do- in fact, I can’t get enough of it. Promise. The label says it’s more creamy and true enough, it is really, really creamy.  Also unlike other chocolate ice creams, the Belgian Bliss is not too sweet and that’s the reason why I can savor more its creamy choco flavor.

So gotta go now and get a taste of Heaven (again!) while I check on receipt printers. *wink*

February 2nd, 2010Sinful Delights

Over the last couple of days, I have indulged in the guilty pleasures of having something I know I shouldn’t. But what can I do? *shrugging shoulders* I just have to give in to the sheer temptation. They say, in my language, masarap ang bawal   ( or there’s always an appeal to something we cannot have, to put it mildly)

Okay, okay, it’s not what you think (what are you thinking ba? lol).  To make things clearer, I was talking about ice cream.   Actually, it’s yogurt ice cream from Nestle. I have eaten lots of that lately (actually at the rate I’m going, I think I already need to invest in a fitness equipment!). And who can resist their yummy goodness?

Have you tried it? It’s exclusively distributed by Mercury Drug (a leading drugstore in the country). And I have tried two variants so far, namely, the Buco Nata and the Banana Oatmeal. I haven’t seen any other available variants but when I do, I’ll surely have some of them too. :-)

January 20th, 2010McDo Forever

After a long long time of abstinenece (what a term!)  from eating burgers, I suddenly had a craving for a cheezy cheeseburger this afternoon. And not just any cheeseburger but what I had in mind (and had wanted to get a mouthful of) is the Cheeseburger from good old McDonald’s!

So on the way home, I made a detour to a McDo branch to pick up one and boy did I just make my tummy happy. I cannot believe how I was able to steer clear away from burgers but I definitely, for the record, love McDo cheeseburgers. Now, how much calories can I get from one? Or shall I start popping weight loss pills? now? :-)

January 16th, 2010French Truffles

My mother brought home a box of chocolates called French Truffles after attending her high school reunion. The chocolate was a pasalubong from one of her high school friends, she said.

And we- my son and I - feasted on it! It is surprisingly good. Actually, I can say that it is one of the best chocolates I’ve ever tasted. I swear. So so yummy, I promise. Delectable, really. It literally melts in your mouth. It has a smooth rich chocolate flavor but it is not sooo sweet. And not too bitter either. It has a perfect chocolatey balance that absolutely makes me reach  for more.  On its box, it says there are no preservatives added so it’s an added point.

It’s perfect for to go with some wine too. So while celebrating for your most successful home based business or whatever is the occasion, why not include a French Truffle? I’m sure your guests  will enjoy it.

P.S. Now I’m constantly in the lookout for  a local store that sells them. Hope I get to find one soon.

January 3rd, 2010Green Haven

I’m gonna forget about the new year essentials like life insurance policies, bills etc… for a moment and instead concentrate on a mini resto review for now. :-)

Wanna go Mongolian today? Make your own Mongolian bowl at Green Haven Restaurant located at Rosario Strip, LimketKai Mall, Cagayan de Oro City. For people who loves to experiment with their food or are Mongolian bowl addicts, in my humble opinion, it is undoubtedly the place to satisy your adventurous streak as well as your appetite.

Sunday lunch time, we dined  out with Vietnamese friends there and they all love it- except for some minor mishaps, which is quite negligible. My brother made himself two different bowls of Mongolian treat and he could barely stand up much less walk when the dinner was over.

For vegetarians, it’s also the  perfect place to visit as they offer vegan meals daily.

August 7th, 2009Fruitini!

I’m going to rave about a refreshing fruit and veggies juice drink I found recently that I believe is great for kids and  adults alike. But before that please take a little time to view some truck accessories available online.

Now off to this new product I discovered. It’s the Del Monte Fruitini Juice Drink, which comes in three cool flavors: Purple Carrot, Brocolli and Orange Carrot.

Photobucket All of these  variants also contain  mixed fruit flavors. So it’s not only very healthy but absolutely tasty.  You just have to love all the 3 flavors. In fact, we are hooked with it. My toddler loves it a lot -and also me!  And then there’s my brother who likes to tiptoe to the fridge and help himself with my son’s loot. So try some now.

August 3rd, 2009Flat Belly Diet Food

Sounds interesting ayt?  Well, I just drooled over the salad recipes at prevention.com that are said to help get the belly in shape.  No I wasn’t kidding. I was honestly salivating over the the enticingly nutritious top 5 diet salad recipes there.

By the way, if anyone of you reading this happen to know about diet pills that work, I appreciate it if you could drop me a line here.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Red Ribbon goodies.  I am. Because they are just simply delectable. Actually, I never exit from the mall without dropping by their outlet.  Give me all the exit signs in the world but I never do so -not until I pick goodies from them. It’s a habit already.

But on my mom’s birthday I get to taste something heavenly from another bakeshop. My brother and his fiancee brought home a box of chocolate cake, which its name I name I have carelessly forgotten- sorry! Nonetheless, here’s a picture of that cake.

Photobucket

Help yourself! But really, go treat yourself to some heavenly goodness and bring home a box if you have a Goldilocks branch in your place. Ah okay, I’ll have to ask my for its name next time.

July 12th, 2009Yummmm-eeeeY

Red Ribbon.

On the hair? No.

On the old oak tree? No -although I prefer a red over the famous yellow ribbon on the old oak tree. *Chuckle*

Red ribbon on the dress then? *frowning and shaking head vigorously* No! No definitely not.

I say, Red Ribbon in the tummy. The whaaat?

Yes, the tummy. Red Ribbon goodies for MY tummy. Soooo sooo love them.

From their Chocolate Mousse cake to their pansit palabok,  Mango bars to their cinnamon roll. Empanada to  their delectable mocha mamon. Yum, Yum.

I totally love all the food from Red Ribbon. Actually, my family loves their food. Hubby hearts their cakes. My son loves their regular mamon and their mango bars. Yummm, they’re the best!
