February 23rd, 2010Excited!

As I write this post, I already have on my hands the goods I ordered from IndigoBaby. Woohoo! I paid yesterday morning (thru Smartmoney) and I’m truly happy that Air21 delivery is efficient as always.

Here are the products that I’ve ordered (sorry I don’t have a photo of them at the moment):

1 Booboo Box -containing 1 Jar of Hope and 1 Jar of Love
1 Dance of Life massage oil
1 Sleepyhead all in one spray
1 Squeaky Clean Body Wash
1 Slumber Spell bath salt
1 Sahara pants

I’m honestly super excited now, I can’t wait to go home and try them out. :-)

February 17th, 2010So Behind But…

After reading about epiduo, I found a lovely site today. It’s about photography -actually, it’s not really ABOUT photography but it’s more about life in photos. It’s the shuttersisters site.

Oh I know, I know I’m so behind. I cannot believe that I only discovered it today. Ha, where have I been all my online life? Lol. But as they say, better late than never.

But I did have a fantastic time browsing the photos and finding the stories behind them. Will be back as much as I can, you just wait , Shuttersisters. :-)

February 16th, 2010We’ll See

I was supposed to do a review on a baby product today but I was stalled because I got interested in a post about the all-natural bath and body products offered by a couple of mom enterpreneurs in the country. So interested am I that I immediately listed down the products I wanted to order from them and placed an order.  (Hmmm, too bad they don’t have shampoo for hair loss since someone here would be happy to try it.)

Anyway, apart from an auto email notification (telling me that they’ll get back to me ASAP), I still haven’t received any confirmation of my orders though. But I’ll get my fingers crossed. And if they won’t get back to me ’til next week, no worries as I already have Plan B. Infact, Plan B is much more economical and feasible.

The site btw is http://indigomanila.multiply.com. *smile*

January 15th, 2010Positive Discipline

Today, after I’ve read some appetite suppressant reviews, I went to check some parenting articles about positive discipline online.

And boy I found a mine!  If ound a lot of good reads. And one of these is Jane Nelsen’s blog, Positive Discipline with Dr. Jane Nelsen. I love some of the topics she tackled in her blog. I’ve actually seen some answers to the questions I have. I also saw that she has published plenty of books already and as I type this, I’m making a mental note that when I get the time, I’ll check if some copies are available in our local bookstore.

Oh btw, here’s the link to Jane Nelsen’s blog: http://blog.positivediscipline.com/.

December 28th, 2009Bench Daily Scent

Have you tried Bench Dialy Scent colognes?

A cousin gave me a box of Bench Daily Scent Cologne as Christmas present and so I have the privilege to get a  whiff of these highly advertised colognes which are made out of fragrance oil from Grasse France. Although all of the colognes are mild and have refreshing scents, among the six variants inside the box, my favorite one is the Nine To Mine scent, which  is sweet and a little tangy.

Other scents in the box are: Sunday Morning, Indian Summer, Spring Break, Happy Hour and Lazy Afternoon. For more of the scent description, check this article.

Oh BTW, I think it’s a perfect gift for teenagers. And forget about shipping boxes because  a small box of the Daily Scent which can be used as trial pack is available, too.

December 26th, 2009Tsk. Tsk.

Dropping by www.wholesaleinsurance.net, I am reminded to make an important decision whether to continue with our existing insurance policies. Not that I have big issues with them, it’s just that I’ve been thinking about long-term plans.

But as these are mostly arranged by the hubster, I think a lengthy discussion on this concern is in order. :-) But I bet it’s going to be a good one, as always. So all the best for next year!

December 23rd, 2009Pure Seduction

What a titillating title! It reads “parental guidance” but  really this post is not. The only thing is, I just couldn’t think of a better title so we’ll leave it at that.

So anyway, I just want to say that Victoria Secret Pure Seduction Body Butter touched me today. And I feel sooo good.

It’s actually a Christmas present from a cousin and I love it. It’s been a while since I last used a VS product and as always, I always think that their lotions or butters are more than that. They can also be used as fragrance. Well, at least for me. When I do use their lotion, I no longer use cologne or perfume after. Economical ey?

So there. I swear seductive this afternoon. ;-) Now off to check Blue Advantage.
Merry Christmas everyone.

November 27th, 2009drop me off at bench please

There are more than one reason why I always drop by Bench, a popular store which started to sell clothing in the Philippines in late ’80s but which later ventured out to products such as sweets and toiletries.

First off, I can find my fit in their small sized pants and undergarments

Second, the price of their goods is affordable.

Third, they use paper bags or recyclable plastic bags.

Fourth, they sell almost everything I need: undergarments, shirts, pants, belts, jackets, bags, brushes, hankies, socks, colognes, beauty products, marshmallows and whatnot. Maybe next, they might consider expanding to home and bed furnishings such as pillows, mattresses, blankets ey? ;-)

Last but not the least, I like their courteous and helpful store watchers.

It’s raining elephants ’round here (the weather’s been dreary for the past 4 days already you gotta keep your breeches and save for later when the sun shines). And in times like this, for me, nothing beats a steaming mug of hot chocolate and a serving of suman (a popular rice cake in the Philippines; see more of its description here). Just yum-o!  But that’s just for starters.

For lunch and dinner , I want something hot and spicy. I don’t have anything specific in mind just that it’s hot and spicy. Actually, for all I care, you can give me anything - as in anything under the rainy skies - but couple it with a bottle of Tabasco. *smiles*

Remember that small bottle that gives all the zing I could want in my food? It’s hot and spicy and it’s all I ever need to give a bang to my system in a dreary weather like today. So there, give me anything and with a dash of Tabasco Red Chili Sauce, I’ll surely eat it like it’s first class gourmet dish.

November 17th, 2009Tsk. Tsk.

I chanced on a vegas hotel reservation online when I remembered the party my son had last weekend.

My son had his birthday party in Jollibee Limketkai and though it was a fun party, I feel dissatisfied with the service of the crew there. They were just teeny weeny slow for me - at least during the party and I had to remind myself to stay calm (even as I was already irritated). And just when I needed a crew, I couldn’t find anyone to serve one of our guests. *sigh*

It was our first party with a Jollibee branch and if not for the fact that McDo was booked on the day that we wanted to have the party, we wouldn’t have arranged a party there.

And if memory serves me right, I know our experience with McDo last year was so much better. I didn’t need to tell them to serve so and so because the crew were pretty efficient.

Now I wouldn’t want to make conclusions as to Jollibee’s services but I hope there wouldn’t be a repeat of this experience.
