November 24th, 2010Me Finds This Nice

Photobucket QGIRL New York Whitening Facial Cleanser.

This is a product brought by my sister-inlaw from Vietnam. I have been using it for quite sometime now, like a couple of months, and it seemed to work well. Made up of a combination of licorice extract, Vitamins C&E and a certain mositurizer, this cleanser has helped eliminate some blemishes and scars on my face. I do find my skin smoother and clearer now and I think this may be used as a partner or substitute for an acne scar removal cream. Really works. And thanks to my sister inlaw I got this for free. :-)

November 11th, 2010Some Articles Around

Are you one of the millions of women who are wondering:

Do slimming pills work? Do they have side effects? If there are, then what are their common side effects? Are they hazardous to one’s health? Are they expensive?

If you are, then you might want to read these posts:

BBC UK: Slimming pills: do the claims add up?

Dailymail: Do slimming pills ever work?

There’s only a couple I’ll share for now, but when I do stumble into more enlightening posts, I’ll surely broadcast them here. Have fun reading.

October 17th, 2010Need Inputs

At so early in the morning,  I’m already busy scouring the Net for some information. Wondering why I got the time? It’s because I’m in the office and it’s not yet too busy at this hour here, so I busy myself with personal stuff.

Anyway, I’m trying to find out a couple of things today. First, I’m looking for the best shampoo for hair loss and falling hair. Someone in the family may need this. Nah-ah, not me although I’m having hair fall problems (which must be hormone-related). So any suggestion?

Next, I’m finding out an ideal anti-parasite shampoo for my kid. This is embarrassing to admit but we found out my toddler has parasites aka lice on his head few days ago. As I haven’t found an ideal product for my toddler, I resorted to just using a fine comb on him. I planned to have him brought to the barber next week to have his hair cut very short (his regular cut). But in case there’s a recurrence (when hair grows), I just want to be ready.

So bring on the comments, please.

October 14th, 2010Thanks Nature!

I just came from viewing the treatmentrosacea.net and boy, how glad I am that these days, I only get occasional zits (that disappear on their own) every now and then. My hormones seemed to have given me nothing but a glowing skin of a new mother. As I don’t have much time to spare for beauty routines, this is really a blessing. :-)

Now okay, for those having acne problems, don’t despair. At this time and age, if only you have the resources, nothing will keep you from having wonderful skin. Amen?

I am in the office now but let me just say that although I hate working late (as I am a morning/day person),  working during graveyard shift gives me the opportunity to have a little me-time to indulge in “girly” stuffs. Oh vanity. :-)

You see, as I am writing this, know that I am facing a bottle of the IlogMaria Royal Jelly Facial Oil. :-) I have just applied some on my face and hands, which is somewhat of a luxury when at home because I’m just too busy taking care of the kids.  Actually, my  beauty regimen  these days is somewhat abbreviated, consisting only of soap and water for the face. And even if I get occasional zits, most of the time I just leave them as they are as I rarely have time to apply some  acne lotion.

Anyway, back to the IlogMaria Royal Jelly Facial Oil. I think the product is awesome because as it can be used as a night cream alternative. I also observed I haven’t had “zit attack” since I’ve used it. Made from Royal Jelly, and a melange of tropical flower, fruit, nut and seed oils, the IlogMaria Royal Jelly Facial Oil is said to help restore aging, dry and sensitive skin. It doesn’t contain preservatives and emulsifiers too. In short, it’s a perfect product for me.

September 29th, 2010Spa in a Can

I’ve tried a wonderful product that’s ideal for relieving stress. :-) And I didn’t shell out a penny for it.

My sister’s friend went to Boracay recently and from his trip, he brought  my sister this pasalubong, consisting of a Grapefruit bar soap and a product called Spa in a Can. They are from the Echo store.

I haven’t tried the bar soap but it’s the Spa in a Can that has impressed me. Made of VCO, peppermint, orange, musk and lavender, this product is absolutely wonderful. On its label it says it is a great reliever for congestion, stress, nausea and dizziness. It may also be used whenever one wants to “feel like taking a momentary spa break.” Now on my part, it has proven to be effective in relieving nausea and headache caused by stress and I think it’s a must-have not just a part of your bathroom vanity kit. Really really love it. Check it from the Echostore at www.echostore.ph.

June 30th, 2010ALO Aloe Vera Drink

After my brother (who used to work in Korea) introduced us to Aloe Vera drinks, I have to admit that I’m kinda hooked on them. Just love its taste. Before finding out a locally made aloe vera drink, I usually buy the imported ones from Korea.

Now, I’m buying these.

Photobucket

It is has a mango taste to it but like the Korean brands I used to buy, it has aloe vera bits too. This Alo Aloe Vera drink, containing Collagen, L-carnitine and Vitamin E, boasts of helping in keeping the skin healthy and youthful. But at the moment, I still cannot say anything about that though I’m aware Collagen and Vitamin E are great for the skin. L-Carnitine, they also say, helps burn fat so maybe this would be great for those trying to trim down their bodies. So we’ll see. :-)

Okay gotta scoot now and read some Clinicallix reviews. I know I’ll surely be a learning a thing or two about losing weight, although I still cannot do that at the moment.

June 1st, 2010Scrub Me Yummy

Photobucket

Because a mother deserves all the best in the world, here’s a yummy treat for all mommies out there: the Scrub Me Yummy, an edible peppermint body scrub.

If I have to describe this product in one word, it would be: delicious.

Indeed, it smells heavenly delicious and because it is sugar-based, it absolutely tastes delicious!

The ingredients are as follows: Sweet Almond Oil, sugar and peppermint essential oils. Apart from the fact that it’s  made with 100% natural ingredients,  what I like most about this scrub is that I no longer need to apply some lotion after scrubbing and rinsing off the scrub off my skin.

Rating: It went past the scale! Woohoo ! :-)

Here’s an IlogMaria product that I’ve just recently used the last drop of. :-)

I use it on my face and body without worry because I know it’s  organically concocted. Made of honey, propolis and some herb extracts, the Ilog Maria Honey Propolis Liquid Soap cleanse my skin without drying it.

If you enlarge the picture, you can read its label that says:

“Raw honey penetrates and cleans pores, softens and moisturizes skin. Propolis is a powerful natural resin that protects your skin from fungal, viral and bacterial infections. This mildest natural liquid soap is handmade in our beefarm from nature’s herb extracts and oils to make your skin supple and smooth.”

If it was hate at first try with the Ilog Maria Propolis Toothpowder, it was love at first use with the Ilog Maria Honeymilk Lotion.  Oh well, how can I not love it when it effectively makes my skin soft and  supple. Also, unlike the toothpowder, its scent is fresh and light.

The consistency of the lotion, however, is a bit watery  but that’s no big deal for since it is really good in keeping my skin moisturized. And then because it is made of all natural ingredients which are as follows: royal jelly, honey, beeswax, propolis and natural flower, herb and seed oils, I don’t really worry much about getting in contact with unwanted chemicals.
