If it was hate at first try with the Ilog Maria Propolis Toothpowder, it was love at first use with the Ilog Maria Honeymilk Lotion. Oh well, how can I not love it when it effectively makes my skin soft and supple. Also, unlike the toothpowder, its scent is fresh and light.
The consistency of the lotion, however, is a bit watery but that’s no big deal for since it is really good in keeping my skin moisturized. And then because it is made of all natural ingredients which are as follows: royal jelly, honey, beeswax, propolis and natural flower, herb and seed oils, I don’t really worry much about getting in contact with unwanted chemicals.
Remember this photo I posted before? It’s the Ilog Maria poducts which I ordered a month or so ago.
I’m showing this again because I’m showing you the reason why I first got interested with the Ilog Maria products. Any guess? =)
It’s really not too difficult but if you’re not up to any guessing game, I’ll give the reason straight. It’s the honey. Yes, it’s because of their Virgin Honey. You see, my family has been using honey for many reasons/applications (some of that can be read here and for those interested, I’ll also include some honey articles in the bottom of this post). Our supply then was almost depleted and since my brother who’s been supplying us couldn’t send us some ASAP, this prompted me to try looking for a source online. And so there I found the Ilog Maria site and the rest is history. =)
So how do we find the Ilog Maria Virgin Honey? I can very well say that it is pure. And like all pure honey, it tastes great (maybe this is already an acquired taste =) .) The only thing is, at Php330 per 450-gram bottle, I think it is quite expensive compared to the local produce I get here (but which is very seasonal and rare). Apart from that, I am quite satisfied with this product from Ilog Maria. BTW, their Virgin Honey is strictly rationed and is limited to 1 order per customer.
Oh wait, before I give you the honey links, please check www.bestdietsupplements.org. Okay, for more info about Honey, please visit the ff: Wiki, Verb, MotherEarthNews; Life Positive; Billy Bee; and Food Reference.
Before anything else, i.e alli weight loss,etc.., my apologies for those people who have been waiting for me to start my Ilog Maria product reviews. Please be assured that I have not forgotten this but I have only given it some time to fully test the effectivity of the products I’ll be reviewing. =)
Anyway, I have decided it’s already time to write my reviews about some of the bee products. To start off, I’ll do a little post about the Ilog Maria Propolis Throat Spray, a natural spray which I have tested on on those times I had sore and itchy throat.
Its label says the Ilog Maria Propolis Throat Spray is anti-viral, anti-bacterial and antioxidant. It freshens breath, keeps gum healthy, eases smoker’s cough and relieves sore throat.
Direction for use: spray on tonsils at first sign of itchiness. Two squirts is enough.
My one word: effective. As directed, I have used it at the early sign of colds, two squirts in the morning and another in the evening and I have proven how effective it is. After two days, itch and sore is gone. Moreover, it doesn’t have any “alcohol feel” to it nor does it sting. Given all that, I also recommended this one for my sister to use whenever she gets sore throat.
My rating: 5.
I was in the toystore with my son yesterday (to give him his well-deserved reward) and while in the counter, I spotted stacks of blue Pigeon boxes near the counter. Inquiring, I found out the boxes contain a two-way cake (yup very much like the Maybelline Two-Way Foundation which you can use either with a wet or dry sponge).
Since I am a huge fan for Pigeon baby products (I actually trust Pigeon for most of my baby’s needs), it didn’t take much to convince myself to try one. There are only two variants available (Fair Yellow and Warm Beige) in the store so I opted to try the Warm Beige.
Short of the story, I bought one and tried it as soon as I got home. And I was hugely disappointed. :-( First and foremost, I don’t like its smell (and that’s not negotiable!). It has the kind of smell that bothers me and sometimes give me headache (yup, so hand me a natural migraine relief, please). It’s the kind of smell that I could detect in some cosmetic products. Second, it didn’t seem any effect on my skin. I mean I couldn’t see any difference with it on. Unlike the Maybelline Two-Way Foundation, it didn’t me give me the finish that I expected so I’m quite sad that I invested my Php300 on it.
So there, I’m still for the Maybelline Two-Way Foundation.
Being my sister’s restday today, we decided to fully test the Strip Tease cold wax which she recently purchased. Actually she decided to take care of the hairs before she face another challenge: losing weight (with or without diet pills).
I have reread the literature that came with it and like I said before it is made of organic ingredients, namely honey and sugar. So this explains the very faint, yummy caramel scent to it that made me want to lick it (but of course I didn’t!). Also, when we opened the jar, some little ants came camped on its sides as proof that it is sugar-based.
Since the lit Idirection) didn’t mention the time element before we can do the removal, we did few trials before figuring out that we need not wait for a minute before doing the stripping. Also, an ample amount needs to be applied on the hair so it will come off easily.
Sticky but non-irritating, this cold wax does its job well (despite my earlier doubt). There were few hairs that were not removed from my sister’s (and mine as well), maybe due to length, but I should say it removed 95% of the hair from our armpits. Strip Tease cold wax works well on the legs though.
My rate: 3.8
For my son, it’s Pediasure Plus in Vanilla flavor. It’s a bit expensive but then I trust this milk to give him complete nutrition. For other details about this milk, check it out here.

For my father, he believes Anlene Gold (51+ Years) best supplies him his nutritional needs. And it’s the chocolate flavor for him.

For my mother, she loves to drink Sustagen Premium in Vanilla flavor. We bought her the chocolate flavor once but she prefers the vanilla flavor more.

Hands down, the Slumber Spell Bath Salt is one of my favorite Indigobaby products. It is made with Deadsea salt, Epsom Salt and Lavender pure essential oil.
Maybe because of the Lavender oil, I must say that it has a calming scent to it. Actually, the bath salts smell like the rooms in the spa that I frequently visit (when not pregnant, of course!). So this one is really perfect for evening baths when all you wanted to do is relax and drift to peaceful sleep afterwards.
Because it is 100% natural, it is safe to be used in baby’s bath. I am not sure with infants though but I use this on my 4-year old son’s bath. Actually, we share the 300-gram jar I bought. Yup, pregnant me feels safe to use it. Infact, I sometimes use it as a scrub, too (along with the Squeaky Clean Body Wash).
Before I scoot and read about wrinkle cream reviews, lemme rate this product. Again with scale 1 to 5, with the latterl being the highest, I’d rate it a 5. Actually I could rate it more than a 5 -even if that’s already the highest! I just simply love it.
My sister showed me a jar of Strip Tease Hair Remover today. I’m not yet sure if it really works but my sister made a test yesterday with a small area of her armpit and she said this cold wax was able to remove some hair.
There’s no list of ingredients used, according to the label it’s made of organic ingredients, namely honey and sugar. I’ve also ready the procedure of the application and it’s so easy ( as easy as acquiring insurance quotes these days!). So we’ll see, maybe I can use this too.(?)
What supplements are you taking now?
Me, because I’m pregnant, I had to wrap up my “old” vitamins, which consist of Vitamin C, Calcium, Vitamin E and an anti-stress vitamin (Vit B complex), and replace them with pre-natal vitamins my OB advised me to take. At the moment, I’m taking three vitamins: Calcium, Omega-3 and a multivitamin (Obimin). In addition, I’m also drinking Anmum milk.
My husband, on the other hand, takes Vitamin C, Vitamin E and a multivitamin. Sometimes, he buys another kind of vitamin which contains Royal Jelly and Korean Ginseng (it sound like an exclusive vitamin for men but I think it’s not).
As with our son, I give him Vitamin C with Zinc, a multivitamin that promotes growth and the vegetable vitamins (that looks like Gummy Bears). The last time I have spoken with his pedia, she told us VItamin C is already enough since our son is regularly drinking a highly-vitaminized milk.

For today’s post, I decided to write a short prose for my new buddy. And so without much ado, here it goes:
Kiss my lips,
Kiss my lips for they sure taste yummy.
My lips, they look tasty like cherry.
Surely, soft and smooth like baby.
So kiss my lips,
kiss my lips for my lippy tastes like cherry.
Thanks to Nivea for the TLC.
Yeah right! Thanks to this little cherry treasure from Nivea Lipcare. I’ve just changed my toiletries lately and this one is my latest buy for my smackers (it replaces the strawberry variant I’ve used last year). Now, I just hope it’s as easy to change outdoor furniture these days.
