January 18th, 2010Post-it

Don’t you just love Post-it notes? I’m looking at one right now and I have to thank the High Heavens for that someone who is smart enough to have thought of making a sticky note for people who are a little OCD with lists. It absolutely makes my life easier (being  forgetful and all).

Oh by the way have you read the top rated diet pills these days? Me, nah-ah. Got to educate myself in a sec. :-)

December 25th, 2009Ho-ho-ho

Merry Christmas to one and all!

December 11th, 2009North Face Bags

Have I made a post about North Face bags? Can’t be too sure.

But I so dig North Face backpacks. And I should have made a blurb about it before. So anyway, I have one that’s a gift from a friend and it’s my favorite traveling companion -along with my pink Nalgene water bottle. *smiles*

My husband also has one green North Face backpack, which  I gave to him as advance birthday present. If I could find a little backpack for my toddler, then surely, you’ll see me queueing at the counter.

I was viewing a punta cana all inclusive holiday package online and all I can say is “WOW!” Looking at the photos, I’m really wowwed at the beauty of the place. ANd I can’t help but feel so so thrilled. And envious to people who are already on their way to enjoying the sun, sand and sea there - because as much as I would love to have a vacation now, I just cannot do that. Not even if I have free tickets and hotel accomodation.

For reasons I am not in control, I just can’t. :-(

So for now, I’ll just torture myself with these photos. Maybe one day in the near future, when schedule and state of being will allow me to, the gods would look kindly at me and give me a special holiday treat. Then for sure, it would be a blast!

September 16th, 2009Treasures from the Bookstore

Happy birthday to me. Heheh. Wonderful day! I actually wanted to do a review post of the 3 Kumon workbook I recently bought for my son but  I wanted to have some time off writing and posting - okay   after I view these cardboard displays online.  *smiles* Just enjoy my day for now and I promise to my reviews in the next few days.

But can I just say in advance that the Kumon starter workbooks are so much fun.  So much so that my son has almost finished the first workbook that I bought for him.  Yipee! The other two books are recent acquisition and I know he like the exercises there too although not as much as the first one, but since we’re regularly doing the suggested exercises, I’m seeing that he’s making so much progress.

Will fill in some details next time. :-)

August 30th, 2009Botched

I’m supposed to write a review about a great cleaning product I vowed to use until forever -hehe- but I’m so in the mood to just relax now. So I’ll just scoot and be back in a while. :-)

July 22nd, 2009Shine-Free

I have oily facial skin and it’s always a struggle to keep it shine-free.  As I never liked using loose powder, I tried using foundation to keep the shimmer off my face. It’s actually works but the only setback is I needed to apply it again and again. And sometimes, I never have enough time to do that-especially if we have a busy day in the office (I could barely eat lunch on a very busy day!).

But good thing is I found a great oil-blotting paper to quickly fix that unsightly shine. But before telling  you my quik fix to my problem, check this Outer Banks rentals for finest beach homes. Now, my trusted to buddy to keep my face shine-free in just seconds is the GATSBY Powdered Oil Clear Paper. It works in 2 ways: it absorbs excess oil from the skin and it  lightly powders the face.  So what more can you ask for?

July 9th, 2009Spa in a Bottle (Part1)

If a genie appears to me and gets me one wish now, I wish that I could be in an rv camping vacation now. As in NOW na, and not a  moment longer. I’ve seen a camping trip in a trailer on TV a couple of days back and it sure looks like fun and exciting way to chill out. Imagine to be able to bring the comforts of home with you in a vacation. Lovely, lovely thing!

But a genie is yet to show his head while I’m here in the office. So I’ll just write a review post instead *smile* I guess the easiest subject I have now is this thing just beside my monitor. It’s a bottle of the Spa Wisdom Hydration Creme from The Body Shop. Made with shea butter from Ghana and honey from Zambia, this sure is a great moisturizer for the hands and feet. Actually, among the many hand/feet lotions that I’ve tried, this one is my favorite because it is not icky greasy. It is so light that you’ll immediately feel its soft effect on the skin. I also love it’s mild scent.

Cost-wise, I believe that you’ll get your money’s worth for every 125 ml bottler of the Spa Wisdom (Africa honey butter for hands and feet).   What more, you get to experience the spa feel anytime and anywhere with the Spa Wisdom hand and feet creme.

June 25th, 2009Start Writing Happily

Speaking of colors and Crayola, here’s a product that I absolutely love. We -my and my son- are using at home with our coloring exercises.

It’s a bit pricey compared to the regular crayons but you’ve got to love these thick WRITE START colored pencils. You just can’t miss the very cute designs on the pens’ surface.
