July 20th, 2011Her Cake

So my daughter celebrated her very first birthday last Sunday. It’s a happy event (although my daughter seem to not like seeing unfamiliar people and was crying); nevertheless, it’s good to see our friends and relatives who joined us that day.

Anyway, I just wanted to say how much I love her cake—it’s from Goldilocks. Looks nice ey?

This was not the design we first chose (it was unavailable), but I like the finish product. And I love the yummy moist chocolate cake under the layer of icing. I have to say that this cake is worth every penny that I paid for.

February 14th, 2011Happy VD

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone. I hope everyone is happier today (because happiness is a choice, so they say).

But I hope everyone gets whatever they wished for for today.

As for me, I wished for a date and I got it in the person of no less than my son. *wink* We had a fun day at the mall. Okay, it’s more like my son got a fun day at the mall and that’s all that really matters for me, seeing someone I love so happy. Oh but, we’re even. He had his fun time, I had my sundae. Hah, I know I should start thinking of diets that work now but it’s Valentine’s Day, everyone deserves a little leeway or some fun or some love and understanding or everything. Lol.

January 4th, 2011Eeeeeeeee!

December was a major fattening month. Yikes! Can’t help it really. Left and right, up and down, there were parties, parties and parties. And in this side of the globe, parties equate to foods. It would really be torture not to eat when you are facing a sumptuous and tempting feast. Not to mention a bit rude.

And then when there is no party, there would be little temptations such as this:

*sigh*sigh* The effect: my sister, who is getting married this year, is now looking for ways in how to reduce belly fat. Desperately. Me, everyday, I’m giving myself a peptalk on acceptance and inner beauty. Lol. That’s all I can do to feel better at the moment.

July 4th, 2010Happy 4th

We don’t really celebrate The 4th of July ’round here but I have friends who are on the side of the globe who is celebrating today. So I might as well greet Happy 4th of July to everyone celebrating.

And also, Happy 4th of July to Mr Sheriff. Thanks for the shower of love. ;-)

June 17th, 2010Happy Birthday Ma

Today is my mom’s birthday, so allow me to deviate from my regular programming to greet the most important woman in my life. Happy happy birthday Mother! I always pray for you to constantly have a happy heart, cheerful disposition and most of all, I pray for a long life and more fruitful years ahead of you. I love you.

April 30th, 2010Voting 101

First of all, allow me to interrupt my regular programming with this public service. :-)  Yay, that sounds so  uhmmm…profound. So “deep.” Lol. But really, like everyone else, I hope for an orderly and peaceful election on May 10 and so with this little post, I hope I can contribute to that goal.

Second, this is just a report from my other blogs.

Third, thanks to Inquirer.net for this material.

Note: Image can be enlarged.

1) Check for your precinct location, number at school or voting center day before the election.

2) At precinct, give your name to the BEI member to be checked on the voters’ list. If you are registered, BEI chairman checks your right forefinger for indelible ink mark. If there is none, sign your name on EDCVL. BEI chair authenticates your ballot by signing on the designated space.

3) Get (a) instruction on how to vote (b) Secrecy Folder with ballot inside and (c) marking pen from the BEI chair.

4) Using the secrecy folder and pen, fill in ballot bu FULLY shading oval beside each candidate’s name and party list of your choice.

DO NOT over vote.
DO NOT write stray markings on the ballot.
DO NOT fold the ballot.

5) Insert the ballot into the PCOS machine slot and wait until the ballot is dropped into the ballot box. BEI checks if PCOS machine confirms acceptance.

6) If ballot is rejected, re-insert ballot into the machine. But if rejected again, BEI chair marks the ballot as “rejected” and places it in an envelope for rejected ballots. (You will not receive another ballot)

7) Return Secrecy Folder and marking pen to the BEI chair.

8) Allow the BEI chair to apply indelible ink from base to cuticle of your right forefinger.

9) Affix your thumbmark on the corresponding space in the voters’ list, then leave the precinct.

December 8th, 2009Happy Birthday Bro!

Before I check some industrial computers online, lemme just greet my brother on his special day - Happy Birthday, Bro! May God bless you with good health and happy life always.

And hope you like the carrot cake I ordered for your little party at home. :-) It’s from a local bakeshop called Cecil’s and it’s affordable. Although I’m a little disappointed that it has icing on it (I don’t like my carrot cake to have icing), the taste of the cake and its pineapple filling quite justified the unexpected topping. :-)
