Anyone knows how to make stir fry veggies with sweet chilli jam? It’s because I’vetasted this dish in a Thai restaurant called Little Monk in Pyrmont and I sooooo love it.
With cashew nuts and fresh veggies and your choice of meat, itis my preferred meal during lunchtime. So really taken with its taste that I would like to learn how to make it and so I won’t need to go anywhere if my craving for this dish hits me. I’ll just make it myself.
So if anyone know, please comment and I’d appreciate it if you can share the recipe.
So my daughter celebrated her very first birthday last Sunday. It’s a happy event (although my daughter seem to not like seeing unfamiliar people and was crying); nevertheless, it’s good to see our friends and relatives who joined us that day.
Anyway, I just wanted to say how much I love her cake—it’s from Goldilocks. Looks nice ey?

This was not the design we first chose (it was unavailable), but I like the finish product. And I love the yummy moist chocolate cake under the layer of icing. I have to say that this cake is worth every penny that I paid for.
After a long day of work, I decide to reward myself to something new and maybe wonderful. The Jollibee Chicken BBQ! My heart says it’s sinful. So be ready ECG!
But yes. Finally, I was able to try Jollibee’s Chicken Barbeque which I’ve been been wanting to try for ages but haven’t gotten to until the other day. I’ve always been tempted to order everytime I get to a Jollibee counter and look at its very tasty photo but I always end up ordering another meal in the menu. Anyway, so I was finally able to try it. And I’m disappointed. Okay maybe it’s an “outlet thing” but the chicken given to me wasn’t as tasty as I imagined it to be. Nor was it juicy (like the ones from a favorite chicken barbecue place we frequent). Or maybe I just expected much because it’s from Jollibee.
Sorry to all of you Jollibee fans out there but I think that’s the first and the last chicken barbecue I’m gonna get. I’m just really disappointed.
Yeeehaw! I’ve had my fill of Missy BonBon treats today!
I saw a dear friend back in high school this afternoon and we had a fun time catching up with each other’s life while munching on delicious breads.
*sigh* Goodtimes.
I’ve been to the grocery the other day and I added 2 more variants of Cerelac in my baby’s list of dry cereal. These are: Banana and Wheat and the MIxed Vegetable and Soya. I have not tried giving these to my daughter but I hope she’ll like it. I have a feeling she will like it.
I’m very much for organic and homemade food and so much more for my baby (babies). If I have the time, I’ll just give my baby all organic and homemade food. Sadly, I have also other things to attend to so I sometimes give her cereals available in the market. Actually, this cereal produc has long been available in the market. Come to think of it, when we were young, we also ate this one.
CERELAC by Nestle. I bought Soya and Milk in the grocery and have dear daughter try eat. Guess what, she love it so much. I also bought Brown Rice and Milk variant and she also like it. Surprising for me, because unlike my daughter, my firstborn didn’t have the appetite for Cerelac in his time. I really wonder. Now should I ask why from the expert? Peeps holding medical jobs, any idea? Hah, there’s really no accounting for taste. Though it’s really not an issue, maybe in our next pedia visit, I’m gonna ask her doctor.
I should add “Gardenia” and “in CDO” in the title but decided against that the last minute. No need to elaborate the reason though. Heheh.
Anyway, what I’m only trying to say is that I’m happy that yummy Gardenia breads are already available in my city. I’m not sure if they are exclusively available at Mercury Drug outlet, but I’ve bought some from Mercury few days ago. My sister also told me she’s spotted some stocks in the outlet downtown.
So far I’ve only seen the Plain Loaf, Wheat Bread and Raisin Bread on the shelves but for me, that’s absolutely wonderful already.
I bought some goodies from Missy BonBon with the intent of taking photos of them before they are consumed. But look what happened to this yummy strawberry shortcake?

My son beat me to it and had already devoured some before I could even remove my lens cap.
Missy BonBon’s strawberry shortcake is obviously my son’s favorite.
December was a major fattening month. Yikes! Can’t help it really. Left and right, up and down, there were parties, parties and parties. And in this side of the globe, parties equate to foods. It would really be torture not to eat when you are facing a sumptuous and tempting feast. Not to mention a bit rude.
And then when there is no party, there would be little temptations such as this:

*sigh*sigh* The effect: my sister, who is getting married this year, is now looking for ways in how to reduce belly fat. Desperately. Me, everyday, I’m giving myself a peptalk on acceptance and inner beauty. Lol. That’s all I can do to feel better at the moment.
I’m not a chef. I don’t even cook a lot (the stove/oven isn’t much of a friend to me because they make me sweat!) but when I do I try my damndest to make them at least edible. Lol.
But anyway, I found a pasta sauce in the grocery that makes me go “yes!” And this is the Del Monte Beef and Mushroom Sauce. So love it. Makes cooking pasta even easier, trust me.
BTW, my son (who calls me a chef when I’m cooking!) also loves eating the penne pasta I make with this sauce.
