So I’ve been to the salon. And I’m happy to finally have my hair done. It’s been 7 months and I’m just glad it looks better now.
I really want to thank my hairdresser, who is also a Loreal Color Expert, for making me feel good. I don’t know if I’m allowed to mention her name online (gotta ask permission first so maybe next time), but I really wanted to say she’s done a great job on my crown (been doing it all the time). Thanks! And she also fixed my brows and gave me a sachet of the Loreal Proteline (Portein Emulsion, a product which boasts of restoring vitality to dry and sensitized hair) all for free. Now that makes me wish that she could offer other services such as spa or cellulite treatment or facial treatment because I really trust her. I mean I like what she does on me.
And before I go, I gotta say yes, I love Proteline. Next month, I’m buying some from my hairdresser because I love how it makes my hair feel soft and easier to comb.
For hair care, I think this is the best tandem ever. Of course this doesn’t include those hair treatments that I indulge in once in a lifetime.
But yes, for everyday use, this pair of Loreal Total Repair Shampoo and Conditioner is absolutely a treasure. First, these are affordable. Second, they smell great. Third, they don’t hurt my eyes unlike some haircare products I’ve tried. And last but not the least, they work wonders for my special type of hair.

Thanks to this product, my hair has become straighter than it ordinarily is. I did mention before that I have the straight hair do courtesy of the rebonding process I get every 6 months in a local salon. So expensive, but that’s reality for me who has very curly locks.
Anyway, this conditioner helps me maintain my hair to stay straight despite the growths. You just put an ample amount, leave it for a minute or two and viola, for gorgeous hair. Cream Silk Conditoner for Curly Hair also makes my hair smell great, too. I mean real great! It is affordable too. Try it.
So you knew that I was recently in a salon and so now, I am sporting a new do.
What you may not know though, is that I’m currently having a lot easier time fixing my hair, mainly because of the new do, and then also because of a great product the assistant hairdresser has recommended for me to use.
This product is the KERASTASE Nutritive Oleo Relax Ultimate Controlling Elixer Serum (for very rebellious & dry hair). This no-rinse formula, which comes in 50ml glass bottle, doesn’t only smooths hair to the ends but gives it a lustrous finish as well. It’s a bit pricey but the effect I get is worth every moolah I paid for it.
I had the pleasure of visiting the salon last Saturday and boy did I feel better (and I guess, look better too! heheh).
After 8 months, I finally had my hair done. Can you tell I’m ecstatic? Am just really really glad since I’ve been trying to fix my schedule for this trip but I just didn’t have 5 hours to spare for a salon fix - not until last Saturday. And five holy hours that was! One could find Myrtle beach vacation rentals in much lesser time! Boy oh boy, my curly hair definitely needs a lot of time fixing!
I can only imagine how it must be for those who worked on my hair. And really from the bottom of my heart, I’m grateful for their patience while ironing, blowing, washing and cutting my hair (they truly deserved the generous tip I gave them). And I’ll let you on a secret, there’s just no better salon than David’s Salon - I just love the way they care for my hair and make me look better.
