November 29th, 2010Bonne Spa Milk Salt

Photobucket I have to read about extenze side effects, but first I gotta introduce anothe bath buddy of mine. The Bonne Spa Milk Salt.

If I can’t have any body peel, then maybe this is as good as it gets.

This is a gift from my sis inlaw (again!). Oh I love my sister-in-law. And I love this moisturizing bath salt. First because it smells so great. Though I haven’t noticed any lightening effect on my skin, I love that it makes my skin feel verrrry smooth and soft. Its texture is not too coarse too so I think it does a great job in gently exfoliating the dead cells.

November 7th, 2010Need

I got calls from not one but two credit card companies yesterdays, telling me I’m qualified for this and that insurance benefit they have. I’m pretty interested but as I already have insurance coverage with another company (thanks to my employers), I diplomatically declined to avail of their offers.

Now the reason, I’m writing this is because I have every reason to believe everyone needs insurance. My God, even small appliances can to now be insured. Really, many times my family and have benefited from insurance policies–whether it is medical or car or other insurances. One important thing though, and I give it in one word: choose. Yeah, choose.well.

That said, I have high respect for a provider for financial and healthcare related services to people with disabilities, Allsup. Not a health insurance provider, I’ve heard that Allsup offers assistance to people with disabilities get their insurance, whether it is Plan A, B or the Medicare part D plan. Ain’t that laudable? And though they only collect a fee right after the benefit is awarded to you. The first step in getting your benefit is just to complete the evaluation form found at their site. Interested?

November 1st, 2010November …

Today is November 1..Weeeee, it means a lot of things. First, the obvious, it’s All Saint’s Day. Happy All Saint’s Day to everyone. Actually, I’m not sure if that greeting is proper but what I meant is I hope remembering the dead brings lovely memories. (Oh I hope that doesn’t seem right I hope I did not offend someone’s sensitivity by saying that, but forgive me if I did). Have you visited the dead already? Bought flowers na? I’m sure they are costly  these days, but I’m sure there’ll be lots of flower speicals offered by flowershops which are a sound choice, economical yet still elaborately arranged. So take your time in picking.

Now speaking of time, November also means that we’re almost at the end of 2010. Happy? Sad? I hope, like me, you are excitged. I’m excited of what great things the coming days would bring. For one, my son’s birthday is coming. (It would mean we’ll all be busy but it’s good to be busy with these things.) And then God willing, all our plans will be realized next year. :-)     *crossing fingers and looking up to Heavens*

September 23rd, 2010Cutesy Socks-y

I’ve never thought of socks to be oh so cute. But I guess I’ve never found one that merits my saying so. Not until I found these:

Photobucket Pretty moms, before you worry on motorhome repairs, you’ve gotta look at these socks that look like mary janes, ballet shoes!  Cute, cute ey?

And I’m gonna call these things shocks. ;-)

So why bother buying shoes, if I can get my little one to wear these. It’s a much cheaper alternative, not to mention fashionable, too.

September 22nd, 2010Me What?

Gleek! Again, again what?

Alright. I told (oh but actually promise is the word!) myslef I would not turn into a Gleek -oh yes I did. But it looks like I’m gonna eat back my words. Yay.

After watching the first episode of the second season, I think I’m going to be (a billionaire?) making time for Glee viewing week after week after week. :-) The first epi was a blast. Gotta say I’m blown with Charice Pempengco’s performance (althought I’m not a big fan).

So uhm okay, see you then next week. I’ll be preparing some chips to much while I hug the tv. :-)

September 14th, 2010Back Home

After  a short trip to Sydney, Australia, I’m deliriously happy we’re home. I enjoyed our trip (and same thing goes for the hubs and the son) but I missed my dear daughter so much and couldn’t wait to be reunited with her. I’m really just happy and blessed to hold her in my arms again. Oh and I think she’s gained some pounds like me!

Yup,yup, yup. :-) I think Philippines Airline meals have fattened me up. :-) They are truly delectable and nutritious that it’s really difficult for me to say “No thanks.” The meals are one reason I enjoyed flying with them. I just don’t like the orange juice they offer –I’d much rather drink the apple juice or the white wine. ;-)

But fat or not, I’m happy to be back. And fat or not, how about you click here just like me.

July 7th, 2010Status

For  a change I’m not reviewing anything today. But I have other things to say before I go check some outdoor electric grills.

First, it’s a birthday of a friend so let me sing a  Happy, Happy Birthday to you (you know who you are).

Second, I might not be around online for awhile. Personal matters that seem obvious if you take into account my pregnancy. *smiles* But I hope it won’t be for long.

Next, this is so trivial, but I hope we can collect all Toy Story 3 toys before the promo ends. I really hope, because it seems that some Shell gasoline stations don’t have a ready stock of the toys whenever we have our tank filled * sigh*

Lastly, I’m placing an order to Indigomanila for some products that can be useful to me –maybe later. Am already so excited.

So there. Have a super wonderful day everyone.

May 27th, 2010Aaaargh!

How would you feel when the resto where you’ve just eaten your lunch/dinner has no comfort room?  Is it okay with you? Or would you feel pissed?

Normally, I would be okay with this AS LONG as there’s a comfort room nearby. But if there is none, then that doesn’t seem right, ayt? But I’ll still have a little tolerance –in some cases.

But yesterday, I was so pissed when I found out that Mang Inasal-SM CDO has no CR within its premises. Given that: I  am pregnant and I can barely hold some water in the bladder; I have just eaten a full meal along with a big drink(!); and then,  I couldn’t walk as fast as my brain can think, can you even imagine how mortified I was just knowing they have no CR in there?  The walk to the mall CR was really a big inconvenience!

Sigh, sigh. Okay, enough of this verbal diarrhea, I better check some car insurance companies now. And oh before I forget, I do love eating at Mang Inasal. Their chicken are simply roasted to heavenly goodness!

May 26th, 2010AccuCheck Active

Disclaimer: This is definitely not a review, since the I am not an expert of this thing and also, I have no experience with a similar product of other brands.

No, it’s not about one of those weight loss products. I just want to say post that I’m using it, the AccuCheck Active glucose test kit. Since I was advised by the endocrinologist to take blood samples (to check my blood glucose) every now and then, and so I use it. It’s so simple to operate, I just have to click a finger with the Softclick pen (lancet inside), insert a strip on the glucometer and let a drop settle on the strip for the reading.

It’s also so convenient to bring anywhere because everything I need can be placed in that blue plastic box.

So there, that’s just all I wanted to say.

May 12th, 2010Curious Cat

Oh that’s me. On the second thought, a better and apt term would be “curious penguin,” if there’s such a term. Okay, I don’t think I need to elaborate on that. Don’t let me, p-l-e-a-s-e. Lol.

Anyway, I brought this subject up because I met a new term online and that is Irvingia Gabonensis. Have you ever read or heard of that before? I definitely have not. *vigorously shaking head* Is that a medicine? A disease?  For all I know, it could be a name of a person –although it would be a weird name.  What could it really be. So there, it got my attention.

And because I’m curious, I looked it up and read about it. Ha, now I know! And I’m adding that to stock knowledge. *smiles* Anyway, I don’t want to spoil the fun (heheh), so if you’re curious like me, click the emboldened term above and find out what it is.
