So what is great in Oz? I haven’t been here for long but I can say that I like the fact that there’s not much air pollution compared to where I came from. Must be because of the transport system; they have trains and trams here.
Another thing is when you shop in big stores, one have the option to forego the human-assisted counters and just go to an area where there are POS Hardware and have your items scanned and then just pay by card or cash. Really very convenient especially if you’re buying less than five items. And another thing, one may have cash-outs in the counters (human -assisted) when using your ATMs. Really very convenient.
I’ve been to a shopping spree lately. For very important reasons.
Just clothes. But can I just say that one can get a different “high” when one shops. Haaay. You’ll get a dent in the budget but retail therapy is a good thing (at least if not done too often *smiles hugely*)
But yes, I got clothes. Very basic but nice (I think). And I got them at the right price, all because Robinson’s had a Sale recently. Yey!
So happy because an outlet of Citi Hardware has opened near our doorstep. And imagine the excitement of my father. Yes, that is one of the newest commercial steel buildings you can see from the highway and it’s just a stonethrow away from our house.
Okay that’s a bit of an exaggeration but it’s really just near our place. Walking distance, I mean.
I have yet to visit the place though. I know I have a long list to pick up from a hardware so maybe in my next restdays I will schedule a day to walk to the hardware and get some shopping done.
I’m so thrilled to have found out (from my hairstylist) that Beauty Bar has opened in one of the malls in the city. Finally.
So now I don’t need to ask the hubster to get this-and-that for me (in Manila) as I can already do that on my own here. What joy that is! And then it gets me to thinking that now I need really lots of moolah to do just that!!! Lol.
Despite the ever increasing price of gas these days, I got tempted to shop clothes online. My badddd! Lol.
But I’m happy that a couple of my choices fit me well (according to my sister). Love the new dresses I got. I hope I won’t be tempted na to order more clothes but if I do I hope I can still stash enough cash as savings. *crossing fingers* Gotta save, save, save.
February 16th, 2011That Pair
So I mentioned that we went to the mall on Valentine’s Day. But I forgot to mention that I found a nice pair of sandals in the mall and surprisingly I didn’t buy it. Am still contemplating at the moment whether or not I should buy it. I think it looks great on me (one-sided remark!) but I’m just not sure if that style of sandal is a practical choice. Thus, the indecision.
But, it’s on my mind now. In fact, I should be reading about wilson cell booster right this very minute but I unexpectedly find myself daydreaming wearing it to work. Haaaayyy, woe-man! I might as well run to the mall the moment I get off from work today.
I’ve just officially made my very first purchase of books at the online National Bookstore. Wohooo!
I haven’t found out until a couple of days ago that it’s already possible to purchase books from National Bookstore online. Yeah baby, National Bookstore is already online! So just sit infront of the PC, maybe in your PJs, and click, click, click. *grins widely*
Ordering books has not been this easier and more convenient! Now this makes me think, maybe this is the reason why bookworms are hogging their desktop computers all day? Gotta thank NBS for making all that possible. That is simply heaven for a bookworm like me!
Few more days before Christmas, aren’t you excited? Me? I certainly am. Has someone prepared a surprise for me? Who, who, who!
Okay, okay, I’m not expecting but I am hoping there is a lovely surprise for me under the Christmas tree come Christmas eve. Hoping isn’t bad, right? *chuckle*
Seriously this time (!), to someone (with love), I don’t want to be too pushy but I wish you’d read the laptop reviews before everything. Heheh. Oh geez. There, there I said it na.
Black Friday. It’s all about Black Friday I’ve read around the Internetown these days. As we don’t have that in my country, I am a bit amazed at the effect the words “Black Friday” have on people. But as a woman who is easily tempted when the word SALE is read out on the window of a shop, I understand the reaction.
But here’s something I wanna share. Again, it’s an article I’ve read from Yahoo! news. It’s a bit of an eye-opener (well for me) and so I wish shopper could read the Black Fridays Little Secret before shopping.
SHopping, shopping, shopping. Most of the post I’ve read today are about shopping. There’s one about shopping tips. And one yahoo article about Black Friday (which prompted the shopaholic in me to ask why is there no BF in this part of the globe?). Haaay, shopping.
All these posts reminded me that the “shopping” holidays are just around the bed. Wohooo! Can’t wait for the holidays. Maybe it’s time to make a draft of my Christmas gift list. I’m excited! Although I’m sure my wallet is not. Lol.
