November 25th, 2010Jailbreaker wannabe

That’s me. I wanna be a jailbreaker.

No, no, I assure you I have a neat police record and that  I don’t mean jailbreak like prison break. What I mean is, I want to “jailbreak” my  iTouch. (Haaay, funny how some words have entirely different meanings these days!)

Anyway, I wanted to do that for so long. Heard it’s cool and that you’d be able to do a lot with an iPhone or iTouch when jailbroken. What’s keeping me though is the fact that jailbreaking voids iTouch/iphone warranty). I can’t risk that for now. But really, I’m only an inch away from crossing the border between Apple’s wall to freedom.

September 24th, 2010MP3ify

My fascination with Glee’s episode 1 (for Season 2) has led me to an amazing discovery in the world wide web: that we can already convert youtube audios atbp to mp3! Isn’t that cool? Yeah as cool as these faux wood blinds. Trust me.

I didn’t know it but through instantmp3s.com, we can now make the conversion easily and INSTANTLY. All we need is to provide the link and viola! instant mp3!  I’ve tried it with a couple of songs from Glee, and I’m so happy with the result. Audio is excellent, absolutely the same as with the provided youtube link. :-)

And so goes the reason of this post. :-) Haaay, what I did for love!

June 3rd, 2010I Already Miss My PC

Yeah, yeah. And I miss my big monitor. Viewing photos such as these modern furniture I saw today is great with a really big monitor.

I know I mentioned it before that my PC is under repair — and it is still not repaired.  *sigh*sigh* I’ve been using my netbook for 10 years already! Okay, that’s an exaggeration but really, I miss my PC…with it’s big monitor and the valuable softwares installed in it.

One software that I miss using is Photoshop. It’s not the latest but I use it in 99.9% of my photos. I haven’t used it for 10 years na!  Miss it bigtime!  For the meantime, I’m using Picasa as it is lightweight and can easily be used with a netbook ( I haven’t installed Photoshop in the netbook because I’m afraid it would affect its performance).

July 26th, 2009Loving VLC

Been using the VLC - sounds like a pill but okay, that’s not a new brand of weight loss pills but a media player lol - for quite sometime and I’ve always been satisfied with its performance. Developed by VideoLAN (thanks guys!), this open-source software may also be used as a media converter and as well as player.  It’s amazingly versatile and it is the software I am using to play my .flv audio files which I have downloaded from Imeem (as mentioned in this post).

And not only does it support numerous  video and audio formats - like really, what can it not support? - but most of all, it is a free software. To download it, just visit this link.
